If two of you agree, it shall be done      (Matt 18:19)

This is the power of unity

People obviously don’t realise this

Hence, the broken down communities

Even in our own homes

Exists our dysfunctional families

This disunity occurs across the nation

And echoes internationally

Internally, we harbour grudges

And keep records of the wrongs

Conveniently forgetting the

Words we sing in all our worship songs

‘like …here I am, humbled by the love that you give,

forgiven so that I can forgive’

Also forgiven so that we can all live …together.

We’re so quick to differentiate and label

Yet there should be no divisions amongst us             (1 Cor 1:10)

Paul asked that we’d be united in the same mind       (1 Cor 1:10)

A humble mind and in brotherly love                       (1 Pet 3:8)

We need to cut the gossip and cut the hypocrisy

We need to get off any high horse.

Put that energy in to positivity

Put Jesus’ plans back on course

We need to be  unified with each other

But first be unified with Christ

Trust in Him with all your heart                               (Prov 3:5)

And be not in your own self wise

Communication is so fundamental

Always tell the truth in love                                      (Eph 4:15)

Let clarity remove all confusion

To smooth away edges that are rough

Treat others as you’d like to be treated            (Luke 6:31)

See every meeting as an opportunity

To remember how good and pleasant it is                (Psalm 133:1)

When brothers dwell in unity.
